The Milk Men
If you’re looking for the perfect way to shake off the January blues, this should do it.
The Milk Men are one of the UK’s most popular and acclaimed blues-rock bands, bringing together first-class musicianship, infectious songs and a live show built around energy, entertainment and having a seriously good time.
The band have received eleven UK Blues Awards nominations, reached the final of the British Blues Challenge and achieved both a number-one blues single and album.
Their music takes classic rhythm and blues and rock influences and gives them a thoroughly modern kick. Expect great riffs, big choruses, superb musicianship and plenty of personality.
The line-up features Jamie Smy on vocals, Adam Norsworthy on guitar and vocals, Lloyd Green on bass and Mike Roberts on drums, bringing together musicians with a wealth of experience on the British blues and R&B circuit.
The band arrive at Sedgefield with material from The Milky Way, continuing a run that has seen their original music reach the top of the blues charts.
Adam Norsworthy
Support act
Opening the evening is Adam Norsworthy, guitarist and founder member of The Milk Men, but also an accomplished singer-songwriter in his own right.
Adam has released six solo albums, including Rainbird, Infinite Hotel and Shadow on the Hill. The solo work shows another side to the songwriting, combining strong melodies, storytelling and a more intimate performance style.
So we get two sides of Adam in one evening: first the songwriter and storyteller, then later the guitarist helping The Milk Men turn the volume up.
Two sides of Adam. One brilliant night of live music.
