Bison Hip have built a reputation for honest, hard-hitting blues-rock with songs rooted firmly in real life. The band came together when a group of long-time friends decided it was finally time to make the music they had always wanted to make.
The philosophy is refreshingly straightforward: real musicians, real instruments and real-life stories.
Drawing on a lifetime of ups, downs, successes, failures and everything in between, Bison Hip mix classic blues and rock influences with the unmistakable character of their Glasgow roots. The result is a big, authentic sound that is very much their own.
The band have been busy on the UK blues circuit, appearing at clubs and festivals around the country, and arrive at Sedgefield with material from an expanding catalogue of original music.
Expect big guitars, strong melodies, stories you can relate to and proper live blues-rock.

Making this an even stronger night, we’re delighted to welcome another superb Glasgow outfit, The Lynsey Dolan Band.
Fronted by Lynsey Dolan on vocals and keyboards, the band mix blues with soul, funk, gospel and touches of Americana, creating something that is both familiar and distinctively their own.
Powerful vocals sit at the centre of a tight and seriously accomplished live band. Their reputation has been built where it counts, on stage, with performances ranging from soulful material through to high-energy contemporary blues.
The five-track EP Higher is a great introduction to what they are about, moving effortlessly between funky soul-blues, rhythm and soul, Northern Soul influences and Americana.
